The sixth annual Women in Sports Day at the FS Investments U.S. Open was appropriately observed with dominant displays from two of the world’s best professionals—Egypt’s Raneem El Welily and Nour El Tayeb—who both advanced to the semifinals in three games Wednesday night at Drexel University’s Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia.

Americans Olivia Fiechter, Andrew Douglas, Sabrina Sobhy and Olivia Blatchford Clyne all recorded first-round victories—three of which were the day’s most dramatic upsets—Saturday, October 5, at Drexel University and Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
Fiechter, Douglas and Sobhy's results all marked their respective career-first wins at the U.S. Open--all of which took place against higher-ranked opposition.

The 2019 FS Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships started up today at Drexel University in Philadelphia. All the excitement kicked off with its classic first-ball ceremony. This year’s honorary representatives were FS Investment's Vincent Amatulli and SquashSmarts' Nabilla Ariffin.

The U.S. Open is the first of eight PSA Platinum events of the 2019-2020 PSA World Tour season. After becoming the first major event to offer prize money parity in 2013, the U.S. Open will offer equal prize money for a seventh straight year with a record $371,000 split evenly between the forty-eight-player men's and women's draws.
