U.S. Open Squash Championships Return to Drexel October 6-13

The 2018 U.S. Open—the most prestigious professional tournament in the U.S.—is set to return to Philadelphia October 6-13. Mark your calendars now to watch as the best players in the world descend on Drexel University, which will host the event for the eighth consecutive year.

The 2018 U.S. Open returns with a new format following the Professional Squash Association’s announcement of a new tour structure for the 2018-2019 season. Under the new format, the U.S. Open will be staged as a PSA World Tour Platinum event with forty-eight-player men’s and women’s draws.

In the new structure, the U.S. Open spans eight action-packed days of squash, including returning special events Character in Sports Day on October 9 , Women in Sports Day on October 10, the Hall of Fame Luncheon on October 13  and a new special event, Drexel Day on October 7.

Outside of the U.S. Open, the greater Philadelphia area will host a busy weekend of squash competition spanning October 5-8, including the Arlen Specter Pennsylvania Junior Championships, and Intercollegiate Squash Doubles Championships. The U.S. Skill Level Championships will take place during finals weekend October 13-14.

Tickets will go on sale in June at usopensquash.com.
