The Champions Reception was the culminating event of this year’s Delaware Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships. Immediately following the finals, a capacity crowd gathered courtside to celebrate the 2015 tournament and to honor this year’s champions, Gregory Gaultier and Laura Massaro.

John Fry (Chair of US Squash), Kevin Klipstein (CEO of US Squash), and Kevin Lam (Vice President of Delaware Investments) all spoke about the success and excitement surrounding the Open that has just completed it’s fifth year at Drexel.

The reception also honored all past U.S. Open champions in attendance, including Lee Beachill (2004 and 2005), Nicol David (2012, 2013 and 2014) and Rodney Eyles (1993). The United States Open was founded in 1954 and has a long and illustrious history as one of the Grand Slams of squash.

Modeled upon the Champions Ball at Wimbledon—but without the tradition of the men’s and women’s champions dancing together—the Champions Reception provided the perfect finish to the Open’s ten-day festival of squash.
