Court manufacturer ASB’s state-of-the-art GlassCourt will showcase the 2014 Delaware Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships October 9-18 at Drexel University.

The court, which most recently played host to the 2014 Commonwealth games in Glasgow, Scotland, Grand Slam Cup in Frankfurt, Germany, and the 2013 Men’s World Championship in Manchester, England, sports signature blue glass panels with a dark wooden floor, and is one of only two ASB courts in the world to have LED lights utilized as the out, service, and tin lines.

The ASB GlassCourt has elongated glass panels at the bottom, which decreases the number of hinges to optimize fan visibility from all angles.

“We are delighted to be chosen as the U.S. Open court this year,” said ASB CEO Christof Babinsky.

“Our main goal is to provide the maximum technical features to our courts to give the best possibilities of promoting squash. We are in a permanent exchange of ideas with federations, media, promoters, and squash fans alike to accomplish this.”

ASB Squash was founded in 1976 and is based in Germany. For more information visit http://asbsquash.com/ or http://asbsquash.com/about-asb/history/.
